Betzaida Cruz Leon, affectionately known to friends and family as
"Zory," entered into eternal rest on January 23, 2026, at West
Reading Hospital following a sudden intracranial hemorrhage. Born
on April 22, 1963, in the beautiful town of Villalba, Puerto Rico, she
lived a life defined by compassion and connection.
Zory was a woman of immense heart and boundless sociability. She
possessed a kind and loving spirit that naturally drew people to her,
creating lasting bonds wherever she went. In her local community,
she was universally adored and respected, known not merely as a
resident but as a dedicated helper to anyone in need. Her passion for
service and her genuine interest in the well-being of her neighbors
ensured that she was a beloved figure in her town, leaving a legacy
of kindness that will not be forgotten.
A devout Catholic, Zory lived her life as a testament to her spiritual
convictions. She attended church daily, finding great joy, purpose,
and strength in the sanctuary of her parish. Her deep faith was the
compass that guided her benevolent actions throughout her life. She
is survived by her devoted brother, Jose E Cruz Leon, and her loving
niece, Clarissa Cruz, who will cherish her memory.
