Biney (Bud) R. Lawhorne Jr., of Boyertown, passed away Sunday November 23rd, 2025, peacefully, at home surrounded by the love of his family. Born to the late Biney R. Lawhorne Sr. and Beatrice (Weaver) Stowe.
Biney was the loving husband of Deborah (Wolf) Lawhorne, with whom he shared 47 wonderful years of marriage. They were married on July 1st, 1978, and built a family filled with laughter, love, and plenty of inappropriate jokes—just the way Bud liked it.
He was a proud father to his three sons, Sean (Tara), Douglassville, PA, Matthew (Debby), Fleetwood, PA, and Andrew (Tia), Birdsboro, PA
Biney was also blessed with 15 grandchildren, as well as a niece and a nephew, all of whom brought him immeasurable joy.
A hardworking man his entire life, Bud spent 27 years with Columbia Boiler in Stowe, followed by 22 years at Quigley Chevrolet in Bally. Most recently, he worked at Gilbertsville Auto Supply in Gilbertsville, where he was known for his reliability, friendliness, and strong work ethic.
He is survived by his sister Barbara Lawhorne of Pottstown, and his sister-in-law Brenda Lawhorne. He was predeceased by his brothers Barry Lawhorne Sr. and Brian Lawhorne.
Bud was a former member of the Pottstown Classics Car Club, and his love for cars was a huge part of who he was. He was an avid car-show enthusiast, and the Wheels of Time Car Show in Macungie with his beloved 1960 Chevrolet Biscayne was among his favorites. In his free time,
he enjoyed Dr Pepper, dozing off on the couch while claiming to watch his shows or movies. and spending time with his grandchildren. His grandchildren brought him endless joy, and he delighted in their wonderfully goofy sense of humor—the sillier the joke, the harder he laughed. Bud will be remembered for his unwavering devotion to his family. His legacy lives on in the countless memories he created with those who loved him.
Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family to help with medical expenses and final services. Donations can be sent to Deborah Lawhorne, 1155 Reading Avenue, Boyertown, PA 19512
