Caroline (Petersen) Borden

Caroline Borden (Petersen), 62, of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026.

Born on December 12, 1963, in Reading, Pennsylvania, Caroline lived a life filled with love, laughter, and devotion to her family. She had an incredible sense of humor and a contagious laugh that could brighten anyone's day. Her kindness, warmth, and ability to bring joy to those around her will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Caroline enjoyed listening to music, challenging herself with crossword puzzles, and creating lasting memories with her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the greatest joy of her life.

She is survived by her loving father, Uwe; her brothers, George and John; her sister, Holly; her children, Matthew, James, and Samuel; her cherished grandchildren, Karissa, Matthias, Jezebel, Delilah, Adele, Lorelei, James Jr., and Celeste; and her devoted partner, David, who she shared 27 years of love and companionship with.

She was preceded in death by her beloved mother, Jean; her brother, James; and her husband, Gene.

Caroline leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Though she will be deeply missed, her spirit will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
