Charles Franklin Brown, born on June 27, 1931, in Reading, Pennsylvania, went to be with
the Lord, on September 26, 2023, at Phoebe Berks in Wernersville, PA.
Charlie was the beloved son of George and Nellie (Levengood) Brown. He studied
agricultural sciences at Penn State University and Kutztown University, and was a proud
graduate of Amity High School.
Charlie shared 67 years of marriage with his wife, Fern M. (Correll) Brown. Together, they
created their family of four sons: Scott Brown (Debbie Worrell), Craig Brown (Cathy
Brown), Mark Brown, and Jeff Brown (Stacey Sikorski). Charlie was also blessed with six
grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his siblings: Harold
Brown, Ruth Wiltraut, and Alton Brown.
Charlie dedicated over 55 years of his life to a career as a Dairy Farmer at F.M. Brown's
Sons, Inc. His hard work and commitment to his profession were unwavering. Beyond his
career, Charlie enjoyed singing in the choir and volunteering his time at St. Paul's
Lutheran Church in Douglassville, PA. He also enjoyed playing basketball and watching
sports.
A private service to honor Charles' life will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu
of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Pauls Lutheran Church at 548 Old
Swede Road, Douglassville, PA 19518.
Cremation Society of Berks County is in charge of arrangements.
