Christopher James Eckert, 48, of Spring Township, was called home to be with his Lord and Savior, on January 13, 2022, in Penn State Health St. Joseph's Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family. Chris was born in Reading, the son of the late Frederick James and Donna Dale (Bingaman) Eckert.
He graduated from Conrad Weiser High School in 1991.
He was the sweet husband of Denise R. (Steward) Eckert with whom he shared 28 years of marriage.
Chris was employed by Netzsch Premier Technologies, Exton as Inks, Paints and Pigment Sales Application Champion.
He was a devoted follower of Christ, a servant leader, small group leader, mentor, encourager, teacher and prayer warrior. He loved his family immensely, enjoyed golfing, going for long drives and cooking for those he loved. He loved and valued people well. He saw the significance in everyone. Chris was a great listener and wonderful comforter, always ready to give the biggest hugs. He was funny and was always joking and laughing with those that encountered him.
In addition to his wife, Chris is survived by his 4 incredible children: Noah C. Eckert, Abigail G. Eckert, Joelle R. Eckert and Leah K. Eckert and his siblings: Bridget A. Eckert, Matthew W. Eckert, husband of Tabitha A. and Tricia L. Baltzer, wife of Craig A. He is also survived by a loving extended family of uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on January 29, 2022 at 11:00AM, officiated by Reverend Scott Kramer at GT Church, 1110 Snyder Road, Reading, PA 19609. The family will start receiving guests from 10:00AM-11:00AM and services will begin at 11:00AM.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you show love to others through random acts of kindness.
There will also be a blood drive at a later date.
