Cynthia Lee Rusnak

April 13, 1956 ~ July 23, 2023 (age 67) 67 Years Old

Obituary

Cynthia Lee Rusnak (nee Ritter), 67, of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, passed away at
home on July 23, 2023 surrounded by the love of her family.

Cindy was born on April 13, 1956 to Harry and Doreen Ritter in Hatboro, Pennsylvania.
She was a graduate of Upper Moreland High School and Penn State University.

She excelled at sports as a youth and remains undefeated in wrestling matches with her
grandkids. She was the second oldest amongst 7 siblings and quite possibly the
loudest. Cindy loved to laugh. The only thing louder than her contagious cackle may be
her singing voice. Her ability to turn anything and everything into a song is unparalleled.

She was the director and a beloved teacher at Montessori Country Day School in Berks
County for over 30 years and was recently employed at Reading Area Community
College, working with adults to support their goals of obtaining their GED.

Cindy was a giver and offered to be of help wherever she could. She enjoyed gardening
and tending to her large array of plants. There was nothing she loved more than being
surrounded by her greatest joy, her family. She is the proud mother of four children she
shared with Jim Rusnak, and the even prouder grandmother of six grandchildren.

Cindy is survived by her children Kristin, Jamie (Jennifer), Ben, and Annie (Ian);
grandchildren Gavin, Chase, Regan, Keira, Aidan and Scarlett; siblings Den, Mindy
(Sonny), Tim (Jennifer), Ted, Deb, and Barb (Keith), all her nieces and nephews, her
former husband Jim and her Rusnak in-laws, and many other friends who were like
family, including those she sat around a campfire with on a yearly basis (often taking the
blame for breaking the noise ordinance laws). In addition, her spirit lives on in the
thousands of children's lives she impacted throughout her teaching career.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Green
Valley Country Club located at 160 Green Valley Road, Sinking Spring, PA 19608.
All are welcome to attend but please make sure you wear your brightest and most
comfortable clothes. In lieu of flowers, Cindy and her family request donations be made
to Laney's Legacy of Hope, PO Box 5861, Wyomissing, PA 19610.
