David Richard Alford

David R. Alford, better known as Alfie, 71, of Barto, PA; formerly of Pottstown passed away on May 28, 2025.

Born in Pottstown, he was the son of the late James A. Alford and the late Wilda "Billie" Mae (Rogers) Alford Harmon.

David loved motorcycles, cars, taking rides and attending car/motorcycle shows whenever he had the chance. He also loved spending time with his cats and had a knack for his unique naming of them. He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and a season ticket holder of the Eagles during the former Veteran Stadium days. He also enjoyed  watching any type of racing events. He worked a number of years at Stanley G. Flagg, Razor Sharp Grinding and most recently in Vehicle Transport Services. David was a member of several clubs in town including The German Club  and The Quoit Club.  He was a member of Living Faith Lutheran Church in New Berlinville.

He is survived by his sons, Brent Alford, husband of Liana, and Christopher Alford, husband of Amy. Also, he is survived by a sister Eileen, wife of Ronald Boone Jr, and a brother, James R. Alford. He had 3 grandchildren, Madelyn, Jacob and Rebecca. Along with his parents, he is predeceased by sister Carol, husband of the late Kenneth Rhoads
