Obituary for Deborah Henley

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Deborah Henley, who left this world peacefully on March 11, 2025 at the age of 70.

Deborah was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who dedicated her life to her family and the things she loved. She is survived by her devoted husband, Donald Wilson; her cherished children, Amanda Wilson and her husband Daniel Herb, Rebecca Moyer and her husband Justin Moyer, and Shannon Wilson and his wife Christina Wilson. She was also blessed with nine grandchildren: Justin Moyer II (Jasmin Trainor), Isaac Killian (Liz Killian), Blake Wilson, Alexis Moyer (Dylan Maldonado), Areyana Killian (Tucker Ahrens), Skylar Herb, Morgan Herb, Johanna Herb, and Dominic Wilson. She was survived by sister, Lori Henley and great niece (more like a granddaughter), Georgia Martin.  Her love and legacy continue through her three great-grandchildren: Blakely Skowood-Benedict, Reign Wilson, and Blaire Moyer. Deborah was preceded in death by her young son, Donald Wilson, Jr.

Deborah had a passion for gardening, antiquing, and crafting, always finding beauty in the world around her and sharing that joy with others. Her creativity and warmth touched the lives of many, and her home was always filled with love, laughter, and the treasures she collected and created.

She will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her. A service to celebrate her life will be held on March 19, 2025 at 2 P.M. at Stitzel Family Funeral Home located at 3300 Kutztown Road in Reading, Pennsylvania. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Berks Nature Society at Support.berksnature.org, honoring Deborah’s generous and creative spirit.

May she rest in peace, surrounded by the beauty she so deeply cherished.
