Dennis Chalfant

Dennis James Chalfant, 72, of Reading, passed away Sunday, May 31, 2020. He was born on March 21, 1948 in West Chester. 

He was the son of Elizabeth and Charles Chalfant.

Dennis was known by all for his humor, generosity and playful nature. He was a devoted Philadelphia sports fan and elated to witness the Eagles win the Super Bowl. He enjoyed watching horse racing and playing cards. Dennis was a proud Pop-pop and loved to talk about his many grandchildren. He enjoyed watching Amber's band concerts, Mitchell's football and basketball games, Mila's gymnastics and Bethany's sense of humor.

Dennis is preceded in death by his parents, siblings and son, Daniel Chalfant, whom he missed dearly.

He is also survived by his four children, Bridgette Chalfant (Brian), Dennis Chalfant Jr., Cheri Beck (Wayne), Shannon Croll (Rob), and his companion, Patricia Miller, whom he shared three children with.

A funeral mass to honor and celebrate Dennis' life will be held at Saint Agnes Church, West Chester on June 8th, at 11 AM. Internment will be private.
