It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Diane Majka Grandstrom on September 3rd, 2024, in her sleep. Diane was a loving and devoted mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, whose generosity and compassion touched the lives of many.
Diane is survived by her two beloved sisters, Marceline Winterstein and Donna Zerbe, and her two sons, Eric Grandstrom and Joseph Grandstrom husband of Dawn Grandstrom, whom she adored. She was also the proud grandmother of Gage and James, who were a great source of joy in her life.
Diane dedicated 20 years of her life to the noble profession of nursing, where she provided care and comfort to countless individuals. Following her nursing career, she pursued her passion for holistic healing by running a successful aromatherapy business for another two decades.
The last 25 years of Diane's life were spent caring for her disabled son, Eric. Her selflessness and unwavering love during this time were a testament to her giving and nurturing nature. Diane was known for her kindness, always putting the needs of others before her own, and for her ability to bring comfort to those around her.
Diane Majka Grandstrom had the kindest soul and the most positive spirit and will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her, but her legacy of love, care, and compassion will continue to live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
A memorial service will be held to honor her life at Pearl Street Church/Reading Christian Fellowship at 426 Pearl St Reading at 10 am Saturday 9/14 with visitation starting at 9 and a lunch afterwards. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to organizations supporting caregivers of the disabled, in her memory.
