Dorothy I. (Hess) Moser

Dorothy I. (Hess) Moser passed away in her Muhlenberg Park home on July 10, 2023. She was the widow of Marvin "Skeeter" Moser. They were married for 44 years before he passed away December 20, 1998. She was the daughter of the late George I. Hess and the late Catherine J. (Lindenmuth) Hess. 

Dorothy was a 1954 graduate of Perry High School. She began her career as a bank teller and advanced to become a bank executive in marketing and public relations.  She served on various boards including Berks County Parks and Recreation, Berks County Senior Citizen Council, Berks County Chamber of Commerce, and BCTV. She was also a member of Epler's Church.

Her interests included bridge, Hasenpfeffer, tennis, golf, travel, birdwatching, visiting the family farm and enjoying nature and wildlife. She also enjoyed fostering dogs and spending time with her beloved puppy Maxie, which she shared with her longtime companion Ken Hatt of Wyomissing.

She is survived by her two children Sharon Moser Kreitz and Steven S. Moser (spouse Marci). She is also survived by her sisters Jean Zweizig (widow of Walter) of Perry Township, Ethel Fay Trygovac (widow of Paul) and Carolyn Yeager (spouse Robert) of Lancaster County, and brothers George R. Hess (spouse Barbara) of Shoemakersville, and Larry A. Hess (spouse Patricia) of Poolsville, MD. She was the loving grandmother of Kyle G. Kreitz (spouse Elizabeth), Zachary A. Kreitz (spouse Kristen), and Leah M. Moser. She was also the proud great grandmother of Lyla A. Kreitz and Boone D. Kreitz.

Please join the family in honoring Dorothy with a memorial service July 15, 2023 at Epler's Church; Visitation from 10-11 am, service at 11:00 am. Burial in church cemetery to follow.
