Elva Lenor Haigh

Elva Lenor (Zarefoss) Haigh, 85, passed away August 11, 2022 at home.
She was the wife of late Edwin O. Haigh, who passed away in 1998. Born
in Somerset, PA, October 27, 1936, Elva was the daughter of the late Dr.
Albert Henry Zarefoss and Nettie Mae (Middleswarth) Zarefoss. She was
predeceased by a sister, Lavon Allison Zarefoss and is survived by a
brother, Larry K Zarefoss (Kathy).
Elva is survived by her children: Terry Lee Wise, Jill Alison Nelson (Charles)
and Michael Drew Wise. She is also survived by her grandchildren: Brian J
White (Katie), Christopher J Nelson (Kelsey), Michelle A Nelson and Nicole
A Caprice (Casey) and her great-grandchildren: Arthur, Eleanor, Mason and
Evan. Also surviving are nieces and nephews.
Elva is a graduate of Albright College and went on to be a teacher of
Home Economics in the Oley School District, the Reading School District
and at RACC. She had many interests including being a volunteer for Give
Kids The World while living in Kissimmee, FL.
The family will celebrate Elva’s life privately. If you like, in lieu of flowers,
