Henry Miller Diener of West Reading, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 20th, surrounded by an abundance of family and friends at his bedside. Even as AML took hold of his body, Henry remained full of life, strength, and spirit.
Henry is survived by his beloved partner, Kathy Schopplein; his mother, Marilyn Diener; and his siblings, Mary Knop and Jim Diener. He leaves behind his cherished children, Kristen A. Diener and her fiancé, Roberto Perez, and Jacob M. Diener and his wife, Dottie. Henry was a proud grandfather to six grandchildren: Scarlet Martin, Annabelle Martin, Roberto Perez Jr., Alice Diener, Hendrix Perez, and Willow Diener. He also leaves behind a handful of dear friends who meant so much to him.
Henry is reunited in peace with his father, Henry Diener Sr., and his grandparents.
Known for his relaxed personality and free spirit, Henry lived life on his own terms. A devoted Deadhead, he had a deep love for nature and the environment. He found joy in arrowhead hunting, fishing, and taking walks along Penn Avenue—simple pleasures that reflected his appreciation for the world around him.
A dedicated welder, Henry worked hard to support his family. He will be remembered for his gentle soul, his love for family, and the calm presence he brought into the lives of all who knew him.
To honor Henry’s wish of no funeral the family will have a celebration of life held in West Reading on Thursday January 29th.
