Herbert Gowans Obituary

Herbert G. Gowans, 82, of Wernersville, PA passed away April 3, 2021. Born in Reading, PA on May 25, 1938 to Herbert V. Gowans and Gertrude M. Gowans (Harman).

He is survived by his wife of 59 years Dolores P. Gowans (Newpher) and daughters Cristie McAfee (Shane Bissot) and Pattie Rothwell (John Rothwell), grandson Eric McAfee (Jessica McAfee) and great grandson Cayde McAfee.

He was predeceased by his brothers Wallace and Harry. He was an Air Force Veteran. After retiring from Carpenter Technology Corporation in 1994 he spent his retirement years going on numerous cruises, visiting casinos, and attending sporting events.

Celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
