James J Braun Sr. passed away in his home surrounded by family on September 1, 2023.
He was born and raised in Reading and was a 1966 graduate of Reading High School. Following graduation he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps where he was sent to Vietnam. He served until he was honorably discharged in 1968.
Jim enjoyed camping trips with his family at Knoebels, summers at Wildwood, NJ, and bingo and casino trips. His biggest joy was being a husband, father, and Poppop. Family was the most important thing to him which he instilled into all of us. He put everyone before himself and lit up in the presence of his family.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Marie Braun.
Jim is survived by the love of his life; Sharon. They were married on May 10, 1969 and recently celebrated 55 years.
He is also survived by his two children; Michele Braun and James Braun Jr.
Jim also leaves behind 4 granddaughters; Ashlee Stanley, Jordin Braun, Athena Braun and Addison Braun as well as 1 great granddaughter; Mia Breiner.
A private ceremony will be held with immediate family.
