James “Jim” David Rhoads, aged 66, of Sanatoga, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully at his home on August 10, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth “Beth” Rhoads (Leary). Born in Johnstown, Pennsylvania on November 15, 1957 to the late Lawrence “Slim” and Agnes (Yuhas) Rhoads. Jim graduated from Interboro High School in 1975. Jimmy was a proud member of the Steelworker’s Union Local 9462, known for his hard work and dedication, for 40+ years. He was a gold member of the Lower Pottsgrove Sportsman’s Association where he enjoyed being one of the instructors for the youth program. Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman who loved spending time fishing and hunting. His favorite place on earth was the family cabin in Bedford, PA where he loved being surrounded by friends and family, sharing stories, listening to music and drinking Keystone Light. In his free time when he was not at the cabin, you could find Jimmy in his garage singing to music, cooking on the grill and watching a Philadelphia sports team. You truly cannot put into words the kind of person Jim was. He had such a love for life. The relationships he had with his loved ones were the most important thing for him. He touched every individual he came in contact with in some way. He forged lifelong bonds with countless people, who will carry on the memory of the man who touched so many.
Jimmy is lovingly remembered by his wife Beth, stepson Jeremy Gray (Courtney), granddaughter Riley, whom he was looking forward to teaching life skills, sister Veronica “Ronnie” Haring (Alexander “Al”), brother Lawrence “Joe” Rhoads (Holly) and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister Mary Ann and brother Allen.
Come celebrate Jimmy’s life at Copperfield Inn at Lakeside at 1:00PM on Saturday August 17, 2024. All are welcome! Address: 594 W Ridge Pike, Limerick, PA 19468. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your local animal shelter or charity of choice.
