Jean S Knapp, 96, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2020.
Formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Spring Hill, Florida, and Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, Jean lived a truly blessed life. Whether as an elementary school teacher, wife, mother or grandmother, Jean brought her sparkle and joy to all she became acquainted with.
Jean is survived by her devoted husband, Stewart Knapp, with whom she spent the last twenty years of her life. Each having lost their first spouses, Lyle (Bud) and Jane, their love was a testament to both of their families, who over the years have grown into one. Jean is survived by her two sons Lyle Stein (Linda) of Toronto, and James Stein (Suzanne) of Chicago, and their children (Katie, Patrick, Matthew, Mackenzie and Danny), and two daughters Barbara Farrell (Paul) of Wyomissing, Pennsylvania, and Susan Knapp of Northborough, Massachusetts, and their children (James, John, Katherine and William).
Jean was struck by wanderlust at an early age. By the time she retired from teaching, she, Bud, and her sons had visited over 40 US States and most of the Provinces of Canada. Jean and Stu, when not visiting family, enjoyed immensely their frequent trips to Europe and the Mediterranean, well-documented in the photo albums they treasured.
Jean’s light brought brightness to every room she entered. Whether in the classroom, her home, or at Phoebe Berks where she spent her final years, that light will be lovingly remembered.
