Jean M. Lewis

Jean M. Lewis, 94 passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday November 12, 2023in Phoebe Berks Health Care Center Wernersville, PA. Jean was the wife of the late Robert A. Lewis o Sinking Spring, PA. She was the only child of the late Julia M. and Harry D. Gruver of York, PA. Jean lived most of life in York, PA before moving to Reading, PA twenty-two years ago. Jean is survived by two Children, Robin Fries Craig) and Lanny Lewis Karen). There are four granddaughters and six great-grandchildren.

Most of her life was spent as a fulltime homemaker. For several years she worked in the business office of Tioga Textile in York. In Reading she aided at Wilshire Preschool. She loved working with young children and the children loved her.

Jean loved sewing, knitting and crafting. She made many beautiful items for family and friends. Jean also loved travelling, especially RVing and crossed the US six times visiting almost all of the lower forty eight states.

Jean was a member of Advent Lutheran Church West Lawn, PA. Anyone wishing to pay tribute to Jean may send a donation to Advent in her name.

As per Robert and Jean’s wishes they will be interred at the same time in the family grave site in York, PA. A service will be scheduled at a later date.
