Joseph “Joe” Mogyorossy sadly passed away on October 31, 2023 in the Mifflin Center, Shillington. Joe was born on November 14, 1951, in Gyor Hungary, son of the late Steve and Rose (Papp) Mogyorossy. He had just shared his 19th wedding anniversary with his wife Diane Mlodzianoski Mogyorossy of Reading. Joe was a 1970 graduate of Upper Perkiomen High School and a veteran of the US Army having last been stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey during the Vietnam War Era. Over the years, Joe became a painter, layout man, machinist, fabricator, and worked in Research & Development, to name a few. He was an avid weekend fisherman and loved his stand at the flea market, which was more of a social stop for others. Joe is survived by his wife Diane of Reading. Also surviving Joe and sharing his humor are this three children, Kathleen Smith of Hamburg, Laurel Williams, wife of Doug Williams, Hamburg, and son Michael Mogyorossy of Philadelphia. His loving grandchildren Stephen Dougherty, Logan Dougherty, Jordan Dougherty, Katrina Williams, Gavin Williams, and Richard Williams will carry on his laughter and memories for many years to come. Joe also has two great-granddaughters Delilah Fain and Annastasia Williams along with nine nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his Wife Nola (Nugent) Mogyorossy, brothers Steve Mogyorossy and Peter Mogyorossy, and sisters Kathleen (Mogyorossy) Robertson and Margaret (Mogyorossy) Butko. He is also predeceased by his most loved and adored grandson Kenneth “Kenny” Smith. Arrangements are entrusted to the Cremation Society of Berks. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.
