Kenneth J. Deitrich 74, of Wyomissing, PA formerly of Bristol, PA passed away on December 16, 2022 at Reading Hospital.
Ken is preceded in death by his parents Mary Elizabeth (Shire) and George Deitrich, Jennie (Lamb) and Ralph Linck. He is also preceded in death by his siblings, Mary Elizabeth ("Betty") Landis (Deitrich) George Deitrich and Janice Deitrich.
He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years Christine Deitrich (Farina); his daughter Melissa (Deitrich) Korzak and grandchildren Owen and Caleb; his son Thomas Deitrich, fiancé Jessica Morrotto and her children Ciara and Saige.
He is also survived by his sister Sharon Herringshaw (Deitrich) of Fort Ann, NY and a small army of nieces and nephews who all have fond memories of Uncle Kenny.
He was a 1965 Graduate of Delhaas High School in Bristol, PA and attended Temple University. Ken spent his entire career in the hospitality industry as a restaurant manager for many franchises.
He retired shortly after his grandson Owen was born and took on his favorite job as Grampy. He was very much involved in his grandchildren's lives and saw them mostly every day, he loved that they could ride their bikes to visit him.
Ken loved driving the golf cart and the rum bucket bowling league with Tom, his daily errand runs with Melissa and countless other activities including : family game night, puzzles, Jeopardy and the Eagles. His most precious moments were spent with his wife Christine. They enjoyed day trips and vacations to Cape May and Myrtle Beach. She was his one true love.
His greatest wish was for his family to be truly happy and he passed knowing that they were. He may not be here with us but he remains in our hearts forever.
The family will respect Ken's wishes for a private family service.
