Kristine B. Peterman, aged 53, of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away on October 20, 2024, at Reading Hospital, lovingly surrounded by her son Stone Riggin, her partner Anthony Lena, and close friends.
Born on September 6, 1971, in Pottstown, Pennsylvania, Kristine daughter of Jack Peterman and Diane Boone. She was raised in Bechtelsville, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Boyertown High School in 1989. Later, she earned her CNA certification through Edison College in Florida, marking the beginning of her lifelong dedication to caring for others.
Kristine embarked on a new chapter in Florida, where she married Steven Pugh and welcomed her beloved daughter, Katrina, in 1991. After parting ways with Steven, Kristine with Katrina by her side returned to Pennsylvania following the completion of her CNA certification, where she pursued her passion for nursing.
Upon her return, Kristine began her career at the Golden Living Center in Exeter Township. It was during this time that she met Ralph Riggin, with whom she had her son, Stone Riggin, in 1999. Kristine and Ralph later married in 2001 and eventually separated in the 2010s.
In the later years of her life, Kristine found companionship with Anthony Lena, with whom she shared life’s simple joys. Together, embracing the beauty of everyday moment.
Kristine’s life was centered on two profound loves: her children and her career. As a dedicated nurse, she worked tirelessly to ensure the well-being of her residents, often forgoing her own needs to provide the best care possible. She was known for her deep personal connections with both her residents and their families, valuing the bonds she built both professionally and personally.
As a mother, Kristine was unwavering in her desire to provide her children with every opportunity for success. She took immense pride in supporting them through every milestone, always striving to be, as she would say, “a pretty cool mom.”
In her free time, Kristine found joy in reading, solving puzzles, and crafting. An avid Philadelphia Eagles fan, she “bled green” for her beloved team, never missing a chance to cheer on “her boys,” with DeSean Jackson holding a special place as her favorite player.
Kristine is survived by her partner, Anthony Lena; her father, Jack Peterman; and her son, Stone Riggin. She also leaves behind her three sisters, Denise Sickel, Micki Lockard, and Holly Bassler.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Diane Boone, and her daughter, Katrina Pugh.
At this time, no public services are planned. A memorial ceremony may be held at a later date to honor Kristine’s life.
