Patty Jean Rios

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Patty Jean Rios on June 24, 2023, at the age of 70.

She was born August 5, 1952, to the late Carroll Gene Shuman and Joyce Naomi (Shuman) Shuman in Reading Pa. She was a graduate of Fleetwood High School.

During her life she was a foundry worker and most recently a bartender for the Blandon Fire Company. She was a lover of Philadelphia sports, Nascar racing, Reading Royals hockey, visiting wineries, and spending time with family. She was a proud grandmother who enjoyed attending her grandchildren’s sporting events.

She is survived by her daughter Cori Olmeda, wife of Hipolito, of Temple; grandchildren, Tyson Olmeda and Miranda Olmeda; brother David Shuman, husband of Donna, of Fleetwood; brother Glenn Shuman, husband of Jessica, of Muhlenberg; brother Brian Shuman of Kutztown; brother Larry Shuman, husband of Joanne, of Laureldale, sister Susan Weidner, wife of Rob, of Fleetwood, and bother Scott Shuman, husband of Jammie, of Blandon. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 

Patty was deeply loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
