Richard G. Hill, formerly of Oley, PA, died in Allentown on December 27, 2022 at the age of 88. He was the husband of Arlene (Fisher) for 59 years.
Born in Oley, he was the son of the late Gordon and Eleanor (Shabber) Hill.
Richard began his career as a machinist/tool maker. Then, he earned an Associate's Degree in management. He worked for several companies as a Human Resource Manager.
After retirement, "Dick" began his own hunting consultation company, Sportsman's Paradise, allowing him to pursue his love of the outdoors and hunting, especially waterfowl hunting.
He was able to travel to South America and Africa, as well as throughout North America.
Dick was also an accomplished competitive shooter and an avid Smith and Wesson collector. He was a member of many local gun clubs and hunting organizations.
Dick's other passion was racing. He traveled with friends to the Reading Fairgrounds Racetrack, Williams Grove, and other dirt tracks. He also attended the Daytona 500 and Indianapolis 500 races. He was active at the Reading Fairgrounds Racing Museum and the Eastern Museum of Motor Racing.
Richard is survived by his wife, Arlene, and several cousins. His beloved rescue dog, Foxy, also survives him.
There will be no services. Arrangements will be provided by the Cremation Society of Berks County.
