Robert James

Robert “Donnie”James, 74, of Mohnton, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones
on July 3rd, 2021 in Reading hospital after a long battle with cancer.
No longer in pain, Donnie is now reunited with his mother, Hannah (Mannion) James, his Father,
James James, and his 3 brothers, Jim, Bruce, and Jack James.
Donnie was born December 3, 1946 and grew up in Spring City, PA. He was a graduate of
Owen J Robert High school. Donnie proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. After
being discharged by the Navy, Donnie went on to work at Pennhurst State Hospital and retired
after years of service at the Southeastern PA Veterans Center in 2007.
Donnie enjoyed fishing, going on cruises and spending time at his Winter home in Boynton
Beach, FL.
Donnie left behind his beloved wife, Debbie (Parke) James, of 41 years and his two daughters,
Tara (wife of Jason Horvath, Mohnton) and Jennifer (wife of Tony Kulp, Boyertown).
Also surviving are Donnie’s 6 grandchildren; Kyla, Kearstin, Colin, and Ty Horvath and Parker
and Jackson Kulp and his great grandchild, Giana Horvath.
In place of a traditional memorial service, all friends and family are invited to join us for a
Celebration of Life Luau on August 14th at 16 Hughes Ave in Boyertown.
