Robert L. Long

Robert LeRoy Long, 90, passed away, Monday, November 20th, 2023, in his daughters Shillington residence.

He was the husband of the late Mary W. (Fick) Long.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Alvin and Dorothy (Bellman) Long.

Robert worked for Wyomissing Paper Corp. for 40 years before retiring. 

He was a veteran of the United States Air Force.

Robert enjoyed fishing and hunting, and he loved his Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.

He is survived by two children, Alvin Long, Reading, and Robin, wife of John Antonowitch, Shillington. One sister, Nancy Heck, Reading, and two grandchildren, Katrina Kohl, Birdsboro, and Ashley Ireland, wife of Jonathan, Gouglersville, and five great grandchildren: Dylan; Abbigail; Aidan; Willow; and Mason also survive him. 

Robert was predeceased by two brothers, Alvin and John, and two sisters, Kassie and Helen.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Cremation Society of Berks County has been entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be expressed at www.berkscremations.com.
