Robert (Bob) C. Hill, 78, of Wyomissing, PA, passed away suddenly on January 20, 2021 in the Reading Hospital. He was the loving son of the late Robert E. and Elizabeth L. (Bryant) Hill. Born May 4,1942 in East Orange, New Jersey, he moved with his family to PA, where he attended and graduated from Wyomissing High School, class of 1961. Bob proudly served his country spending 4 years in the U.S Air Force and was later employed by the Pepsi Cola Company where he worked for many years. Bob’s life revolved around his family. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He enjoyed watching and coaching his children in sports including time spent as the assistant high school wrestling coach for Wyomissing. Bob was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan rarely missing the chance to cheer on his Birds. He loved all things outdoors, especially fishing and long walks at the farm with his beloved Labrador, MaGee. Bob cherished his role as grandfather and would travel the U.S and overseas to visit his grandchildren. Bob was also the primary caregiver for many years to his late wife, Diane Hall, who preceded him in death, November, 2020. Bob had a heart of gold. His sudden loss is devastating and he will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Bob is survived by his two children, Aaron D. Hill, (Maria), Lexington, KY; Ashley Lynn Hill, Larbert, Scotland; and 4 grandchildren, Grace and Caroline Hill, Laurel and Keigan Brown. He also leaves behind a brother, Tom Hill (Marcia), Reading, PA; and a beloved niece and nephews. Due to the Nation’s current health crisis, a memorial service will be held at a future date at the discretion of his family. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to Homes For Our Troops, 6 Main St. Taunton, MA 02780.
