Rosemary Greiss, 80, of Pottstown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 3, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Pottstown on January 4, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Michael Ripnak and Rose (Ott) Ripnak.
A lifelong resident of Pottstown and Montgomery County, Rosemary devoted her life to creating a home filled with love, kindness, and quiet strength. Family was always at the center of her world, and she took great pride in being a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Rosemary treasured time spent with her children and grandchildren, whether gathered for holidays, sharing everyday moments, or simply being together. She had a gentle presence, a listening ear, and a generous heart, and she formed lasting friendships wherever she went. To know Rosemary was to feel cared for, welcomed, and valued.
Rosemary is survived by her four loving children: Melissa Trani (Ernest) of Douglassville, PA; Louise Robinson (Steven D.) of Woodstock, GA; Kristin Morton (Madison “Matt”) of Pottstown, PA; and Nathan Greiss of Pottstown, PA. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Emily Hammonds (Joseph), Kelsey Parker (Christopher), Samuel Robinson (Lakin), Owen Morton (Mia Corbacio), Evan Trani, Elizabeth Trani (Hank Stouffer), and Grayce Morton. Her joy was multiplied through her four cherished great-granddaughters: EllieGrey Parker, Georgia Parker, Josie Robinson, and Madison Parker. She is also survived by her sisters, Kathleen Cameron and Elizabeth Shumate, both of Pottstown, PA.
A 1962 graduate of St. Pius X High School, Rosemary began her career at O’Faust Gift Town and later worked as a secretary at American Inks and Coatings in Valley Forge, PA. She then dedicated more than 16 years to being a stay-at-home mother, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Rosemary later returned to the workforce and retired from Federal Mogul in Boyertown, PA. She was also a dedicated and respected branch advisor for the Longaberger Basket Company in Dresden, Ohio, where she enjoyed building connections and friendships.
