In the early evening of Saturday September 18, 2021, Samuel A. Baker, most recently of the Diakon Lutheran Home in Topton, PA; passed gently from this world.
Sam was born October 2,1930 in Upper Pottsgrove Township, to Daniel H. and Louisa S.(Rochat) Baker; both deceased. He was also predeceased by both his older sister, Florence (Baker) Keim, wife of the late Freemont ('Curly') Keim; as well as his older brother, William, who died in infancy. He is survived by a niece; Lou Ann (Keim) Suraci of Slatedale, PA and a Nephew; Raymond E. Keim of West Windsor, NJ.
Sam was a proud Air Force veteran, having served in Japan as a radar technician during the Korean conflict. He was an enlisted Airman 1st class. He went on to Penn State University and earned an Associates Degree in engineering (electrical and technological).
Sam settled in the Barto, Pa's rural area and attended the local Salem Bible Fellowship Church.
Sam took great pride in being a long-time member of Alchoholics Anonymous, achieving 49 years of sobriety. He well be greatly missed by all his friends.
