Scott Harner

Scott Harner, 63, of Douglassville, PA, passed away on March 19, 2023 at his home in Douglassville, with his wife by his side.

Born in Pottstown, PA September 13, 1959, Scott was the son of the late Merle Harner and Joy Harner.

Scotty was a member of the Birdsoro American Legion, Post 626 where he served for many years as the Commander of the Sons of The American Legion. Scotty loved fishing, hunting, Eagles football, Phillies baseball and the Crimson Tide football, ROLL. Scotty traveled extensively for his hunting and fishing. Some of his trips included Colorado, Canada, Erie, Florida and the Eastern seaboard.

All of the hunting and fishing gave him so much joy but his greatest joys were loving his wife, his sons and being THE Pappy to four grandchildren. Scotty was always ready to pitch the ball and manage home run derbys in the yard. In addition to his loving wife, Denise he is survived by his sons Phil, wife Kristi, Conor, grandchildren, MJ, Declan Scott, Kayleigh and Savannah. Also survived by his beloved Mother Joy, sister Anita Zuber, wife of Richard Zuber Boyertown, Candy Shustack wife of Bernie, Gilbertsville, Tim Harner husband of Jean, and Jim Harner. 16 nieces and nephews as well as 16 great nieces and nephews.

There will be a celebration and joy sharing of Scotty's life on Saturday March 25 at the Birdsboro American Legion, Post 626, 1pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Scott Harner, Big Fly Classic homerun derby, 445 E Main St, Birdsboro, PA 19508.
