Scott C. Neithamer, 68, of Muhlenberg Township, passed away unexpectedly on January 15, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Born December 2, 1956, in Pottsville, he was the son the late Wilbur L. Neithamer and Kathleen Joy Kline.
Scott was a 1975 graduate of Muhlenberg High School. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps. He worked at Dana Corporation, Mell’s Speed & Custom Cycles, and Carpenter Technology. He retired in 2018.
Scott will be remembered as a hard worker who was more likely to be building than resting. He was an avid collector and a talented craftsman. In his retirement, he finished his lifelong project of creating an intricate and detailed diorama of the Reading Fairgrounds grandstand and racetrack. He passed down his expertise of fabricating and woodworking to his son, Ryan.
He is survived by his son, Ryan Neithamer, husband of Lauren Neithamer, of Bern Township; his son’s mother and lifelong friend, Susan Neithamer, of Spring Township; his daughters, Brandi Neithamer and Chateau Jones, wife of Jerry Jones, and his five grandchildren; his beloved sister, Nannette Neff, wife of Jack Neff, of Alsace Township; his brothers, Christopher and William Neithamer, as well as many more beloved family members and treasured friends.
Cremation Society of Berks County, Inc., is in charge of arrangements. For online condolences, visit www.BerksCremations.com.
